The festive month of December begins with celebrating Olemas! Oh yes- you did hear right! Throughout the next 26 days, you will be able to participate in all of our Olemas events. You can blame superrsonic for the name . Each user gets to do 5 Olemas quests per day and have a chance of obtaining 2 rare presents! They can be open only on 24th, 25th and 26th of December, so hold onto them. Noah has arrived in Ichua! For 26 days, Noah will be giving the users of Ichua a task each day to complete! If you manage to complete the task, you will receive the unique item for that day. All items given out from Noah will be retired forever =). Master Quests is the latest crazed feature to be added to Ichumon! This feature will make you want to play those pointless Higher Or Lower type games ! Master Quests are very special quests which require you to complete some sort of task. This can be anything from winning a game to buying a set of items. The more quests you complete the more higher your Quest Level will be. You can also unlock Master Quests, which when completed, give you a very special pin for your tooltip! You may have noticed that your tooltip(This can be seen by hovering over any users name) now displays your Master Quest pins and your soon-to-be clothed Persona. There are still a few small things to be worked on the Personas, so they will be released in a week or twos time! Sorry, but you'll just have to admire (or cringe!) at Ola for now

With the holidays in full swing, many shops have started releasing new holiday themed items. It seems the Bits & Bobs shop has a load of different items releasing including these new beanbags! Get them while their hot!... we mean cold lol. The Ichie Store has some new icy creatures for you to adore. Everyone loves something to cuddle with when its cold out side, so the Toy Pen is releasing a new set of holiday themed plushies. Also one not so holiday themed plushie lol. Why not bring out one of the holiday stories for all the baby ichuas to hear? The Library Store is now stocking some new books for the season. And finally for all those decoration collectors, the Bits & Bobs has received a fresh new selection of ornaments.

A new Battle Royale Contest has begun! Head over to the Battle Royale page now and sign up your Ichumon to battle! You will need to kill 50 monsters in the Battle Royale Map as fast as you can. The quickest user to kill them will receive the top prize of 4000 cP! You can begin fighting at any time- your total time taken is calculated from when you enter the map and when you finish the quest by talking to the NPC. Good luck to all who enter ~.

Due to popular demand (and frequent poking by staff) we have replaced our item send-to-a-friend system with a gift wrapping system! Basically, it allows you to send an item to a friend, but this time, you can wrap the present up in a pretty box! And you can also send messages and/or do it anonymous I'd thank Jake for working so hard on it! (Note: You can send items from your inventory still, just click the send-to-a-friend link and you will be bought to the correct page ^_^)

Trades have been updated a little. I have made all the tables and such nice and clean and have also added the much wanted item search. It works like the normal usershop search(but limits to 20 items, so make sure you are as specific as possible).

Other small updates include the Toybox. You can now withdraw a custom amount of items from your toybox (suggested by Tragic). And also the Auctions now have pagination and also display who owns the auction on the view auction page.

The Food Shop has just released some hot and toasty gingerbread creations! The hunt is on, but shouldnt last long with the nose on this new ichie, which can be found around the Ichie Store. And finally, the keeper of the Crusade Arena Shop has decided to release a new plushie that is sure to drive the collectors crazy!

The site now has its own cache-system in place! Basically, parts of the site would lag whenever there was lots of users performing actions which used lots of database queries. This include things like refreshing highscore tables, refreshing trades and such. So, we have introduced caching to some of these pages that perform a lot of database queries. Caching just saves the page as a html document and calls it whenever you guys visit it. It then updates the html page whenever it is considered "outdated" by the system. This will speed up the site by a massive amount (hopefully)!. All of Premium was made cache-enabled too (as that data is hardly ever updated).

Personas have finally been released! Personas, which are our version of dress-up Dolls, human avatars, w/e you wanna call them This is a very -new- feature, and so there is going to be a few bugs and a few things that need to be sorted out The one major bug is that currently personas only works in FireFox so I recommend downloading it for the time-being (Its a lot better than IE, and is much faster!) We have opened up the Personas Forum Board. You can discuss Personas there and also post any glitches you find That being said, have a very Merry Christmas and I hope you get everything you wished for

The 26 days of Olemas are now over! The layout has been reverted back to the original one (you can change back to Olemas if you unlocked it) and Olemas Quests, Olemas Tree and Noah have all been locked up until next year The Olemas Crackers will continue to be given out, and the Olemas avatar will also still be available. I'd like to thank everyone who has made this a reallllly awesome Christmas on Ichumon and I have had a fantastic time watching you all complain about the hard and unfair Olemas tasks -sniggersnort-. But seriously, thank you to everyone who has played Ichumon over this month, and all the staff here at Ichumon hope you have had a really fun time. The New Year is just around the corner... but something evil is stirring beneath the surface. I wonder what 2009 will hold for all of Ichua's inhabitants?

Just a small notice, so people are aware and don't freak when they find their banners cleared. The old pixel limit was 500x100. It is now 350x100 because 500x100 stretched the pages.

First and foremost is that I have finalllly fixed the layout. It now works in both IE and FF without the stupid annoying page jumps! Huzzah! I have also fixed it so that if you try and remove an item from your Closet, it will reset your Persona to naked (to stop people from buying expensive wearables and then selling them once they had them on their Persona). Councils have also gotten a small update. JRAdmins can now edit the settings of the council (update the frontpage and whatnot) and also Private Councils now have a little mini page that shows the trophies they have earnt. Non-private councils now allow any users to view their trophy cabinets. Next up is if you are tired of seeing the Personas all over the forums, you can disable them by going to your Forum Preferences and selecting No in the View Personas option.

Woo *wipes e-sweat off keyboard*. I have just spend the last two hours coming up with a cool new game! The idea hit me like a thunderbolt and I had nothing better to do than introduce it The new game is based around the forums/personas. If you go to the forums, you will notice under each user(who have an active Persona) that they have new stats such as Level, HP, Mana, Love and EXP. Well, users can now attack/love each other by clicking on the buttons in the forum postbit. I have explain all the rules and details in this post here. You can also see a log of who has loved/attacked you, here. And you can also see the rankings here of the top leveled Personas. Please remember to watch the spam!

With the end of 2008 coming to a close, many of the shopkeepers are trying to get rid of some clutter in their stockrooms. The Bits & Bobs shop has released a few stockings... even though it is a little late. Looks like the Food Shop has over baked those Olemas goodies and all must go now! Dr. Dimmer and the Ichie Store have come together to create a new species of ichie from a well known pet. Meet the Gallie! And with the release of these special ones, the Ichie Store has also announced the arrival of these little guys. And finally the Library Store has joined in on the fun and released two more new books.

You may have noticed our -awesome- new layout I put it up on New Years Eve because I'm not sure if I'm going to be online tomorrow at midnight (might be going to London to see the fireworks whee). In any case, people will be celebrating New Years Day all around the world tomorrow at different times so I guess it works . Here is to a good new year for Ichumon and it's loyal members! Look for my blog post tomorrow for my end of year report too, hopefully I will get it done . (I might even keep this layout as the default, this one is so much more pretty!) You might notice a nice new shiny 2008 Medal on your user lookups! Thanks to everyone who has joined this year- you guys have made Ichumon such a pleasure to work on. Next year is going to even better and we hope to push the boundaries on new features where no petsite has ever gone before!
